In 2008, the Pennsylvania General Assembly enacted the "Diesel-Powered Motor Vehicle Idling Act," which includes a requirement that owners and operators of locations where vehicles with a gross weight of 10,001 pounds or more load or unload, must post signs to inform drivers that idling is restricted.
