Sustainable Stormwater Financing and TMDL Strategies: How to Define Your Program and Pay For It
Harrisburg Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Center

There is no getting around it; stormwater is presenting municipalities with new administrative and financial challenges. Local governments will need to find creative and cost-effective strategies to meet those challenges. While MS4 and TMDL mandates may be new, your infrastructure and flooding issues are not.

The Lebanon County Planning Department, the Lancaster Inter-Municipal Committee, and AMEC Environment & Infrastructure have developed this hands-on workshop for municipal stormwater decision-makers (Municipal Managers, Finance Directors,Community Development Coordinators, Elected Officials, and Engineers) who are ultimately responsible for meeting water quality mandates, budgeting for infrastructuremanagement, and providing public health and safety services to the community.

This workshop will provide you the background knowledge and tools that you will need to:

  • Define challenges of stormwater management
  • Identify strategies and solutions
  • Develop a business management approach
  • Create a path forward.

In this workshop you will learn about:

  • Developing a cost-effective stormwaterprogram
  • What options Pennsylvania municipalitieshave to finance their stormwater program?
  • How to measure success?

Presenters:

  • Elizabeth Treadwell, Vice President, AMEC Environment and Infrastructure
  • Kris Troup, Executive Director, Lebanon County Planning Department
  • Michael LaSala, Director, Lancaster Inter-Municipal Committee

What are your community’s options to advance your current stormwater program to protect infrastructure, manage assets, achieve regulatory compliance, and set a vision for green infrastructure, planning and design?
