Calling all Climate Change Activists and Concerned Citizens of All Ages
Join a one-day bus trip to Washington, D.C. to protest the Keystone Pipeline and pressure the president to make tackling climate change a priority for his administration.
Why is this event so important?
For the first time since 2009, when we almost passed a climate bill, we have a target! The president will make a decision on the Keystone pipeline, which could bring some of the dirtiest oil on the planet from Canada to U.S. ports in Texas. NASA scientist Dr. James Hansen says "... it's game over" for the planet if we start burning tar sands oil. But this is not just about the pipeline. This is really about what direction our country needs to take — and it is not in the direction of more drilling and digging for fossil fuels.
Organizers are planning for more than 25,000 people to flood Washington, making this the largest climate change protest ever.
Be part of history!
To let the president and Congress know that you want action, reserve your seat now! And if you're organizing a bus, please let us know so we can tell others!
Buses from Pennsylvania are available. Buses leave locations at different times in order to arrive in Washington, D.C. at noon.
