PennFuture's Annual Post Election Forum 2011 - Reading the 2011 tea leaves: Will 2012 be won by who shouts the loudest, or will the center hold?
Harrisburg Hilton

Find out on Tuesday, November 15 at the Harrisburg Hilton.

Hear from our distinguished panels of pundits, pollsters, and politicos including:

  • Senator Jay Costa (D-Allegheny)
  • Senator David Argall (R-Schuylkill)
  • House Minority Leader Frank Dermody (D-Allegheny);
  • Representative Kate Harper (R-Montgomery)
  • Pete DeCoursey, Capitolwire;
  • Scott Detrow, WITF and NPR's StateImpact Pennsylvania;
  • Laura Olson, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette;
  • Terry Madonna, Franklin & Marshall College;
  • And much, much more. (Check back here for updates.)

Some of the questions considered include:

  • What was the role of the Tea Party in 2011?
  • Did Occupy Wall Street have any impact?
  • Are no-tax promises, as enforced by Grover Norquist, a thing of the past?
  • Drilling in the Marcellus Shale is the issue that won't go away - was it part of the 2011 elections, and how will it play in 2012?
  • Is Pennsylvania blue, amethyst, bruise, damson, eggplant, heliotrope, indigo, lavender, lilac, magenta, mauve, orchid, Persian, plum, purple mountains' majesty, violet, wisteria, or red?
  • And the elephant in the room - what about redistricting?

The day's events include panels of elected officials and journalists followed by a luncheon with remarks from Dr. G. Terry Madonna, noted pollster and director of the Center for Politics and Public Affairs at Franklin and Marshall College.

Get the whole shebang for $20 for the general public, $10 for PennFuture members.

The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Coffee and schmoozing, as well as registration, start at 9:30. Space is limited, so don't be short-changed!

Walk in registrations will be welcome on the day of the event on a first come, first served basis.
